The Calendar Says April...

So why have I been struggling to work the last few days in 40 degree temperatures and driving rains? {sigh}... at least this weekend is supposed to FINALLY feel like spring... I'll have to go outside and soak up some sun!

Life continues to be crazy and hectic... but GOOD crazy and hectic, so I can't complain. In May, I'll be flying to California for almost 2 weeks for a wedding and some quality time with my college buddies, and in June I have my choir concert on the 13th, my birthday on the 14th, and a new apartment on the 15th. So the next few months are going to be quite a challenge... hopefully everything will go smoothly!

Hmmmm.... remember how I wasn't going to buy any new yarn until I had knit many more of the sweaters for which I already have yarn? Hmmmmm.... seems like that didn't happen quite as planned. It all started with the new Vogue Knitting... and Rachael's extra cute strappy tank. A girl HAS to have yarn to knit the strappy tank, right? Enter ebay, and suddenly I am the proud owner of 20 balls of Rowan Cotton Glace...

And, to make matters worse, by tomorrow I might own even MORE yarn (but from the same seller, so hopefully I'll save a bit on shipping). I'm thinking I'll make the strappy tank out of the cotton glace, and then have enough left over for a cute pullover... or maybe (depending on gauge), that ADORABLE new pattern from Chicknits... If I win the OTHER ebay yarn auction, I'm making one of the cardigans from the new Vogue Knitting.

One does wonder about the advisability of buying MORE yarn in order to pack it up in boxes and move it to a new apartment... but hey, yarn is soft, right? Couldn't I use it like they use those styrofoam peanuts? (Have you ever heard such a pathetic attempt at justifying a yarn-buying frenzy?)

I hope everyone is having a great week, and HOPEFULLY I'll manage to take some pics of Pines soon... I'm almost done with the second front piece... then onto the sleeves!
