Football!
Today is dedicated to football, knitting, and laundry. (2 out of 3 isn't bad!) ;)
On the knitting front, I'm almost done with the first sleeve of Mariah:
I'm making it out of Rowan Calmer from my stash. It's not entirely an enjoyable experience to knit cables with the Calmer on such large needles (10.5's!) because Calmer has an unfortunate tendency to gap between purls and knits unless you tighten everything up with great determination. But I like the way it's looking, and most of the body of the sweater is done in stockinette, so it should be fine.
Speaking of yarn, though, I did just tremendously enhance my stash from Elann - lots of sock yarn in 21 different colors!
I'm definitely looking forward to making some fabulous patterned socks. I also need to get thinking about my socks for the Sockapaloza exchange... but first, instead of playing with my fun new yarn, I need to finish the first sleeve of Mariah. And maybe the second sleeve too. Oh, and make a couple of extra-late Christmas presents! :)
Cricket, however, points out that the game is about to start (go Minnesota!), and she already warmed up the bed for me:
