Iron Mittens, and Four More Weeks
According to the irregulars, my mom's mittens are probably bulletproof. I'm knitting them with dk weight yarn - on size 2 needles. My unblocked gauge is about 9 sts/inch. It's probably a bit excessive, but the goal was to make very warm, snuggly mittens to keep the momma's hands warm. However, the resulting fabric is, to put it mildly, DENSE. So, around Christmas next year, keep on the lookout for a new superhero - Mitten Woman! I have made absolutely no progress whatsoever on these in the last 3 weeks. SIGH.
I have, however, been occassionally knitting something - Mariah! I'm now to the marathon of the beginning of the yoke. I expect that this will take a LONG time for me to finish, as last night, during my hour of knitting time, I completed exactly 3 rows.
Cricket watched CSI with me - I think she got a little scared (although she would never admit it!)
And four more weeks until Finals - AHHHHHHHHHH!!! Plus, the next two weekends are taken up with Moot Court stuff. But May 5, it's all over - and I get to celebrate with some sheep and wool! I just have to make it through alive... :)
