Sheep & Wool, Day 2Sunday was quite an adventure. S and I started out nice and early to swing by Sheep & Wool so S could see the sheepdogs and I could continue my quest to eat lamb for as many meals as possible in a row.S chose to start the festival eating off right with some birch beer - or was it sarsaparilla? The "soda hoochies" were wearing a bit more clothing on Sunday morning - probably due to the fact that, thanks to the winds, it felt like it was in the 40s. After fortifying ourselves with sugary goodness, we went to visit the sheep. As I said it was chilly, so these 2 little guys who had been unlucky enough to have been shorn needed coats. We were there around breakfast time, but apparently this one didn't get enough of his OWN breakfast, so he had to help himself to his neighbor's. This guy was in the process of getting a hair cut... look at the lanolin dripping off of him! Sheep are cute. This little lamb kept trying to suck on my finger... And this little guy is one of the triplets who starred in the video I posted yesterday. Scout the Sheepdog apparently likes to drive around in the golf cart... This is a prize-winning "show sheep" getting sheared... Can you believe the color of that fleece? MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. In the next post - the rest of what we did last Sunday, including a doggy-field-trip to the National Arboretum, and a new bed. Eventually, I'll catch up on posting... as soon as I manage to get more than 5 minutes away from finishing furniture! I swear, I'm busier since my classes are over than I was during the semester... 0 comments || # |
